Giving Back to Those Who Have Given So Much:

Gifford’s is excited to announce they will be continuing their fundraising initiative in support of the Travis Mills Foundation, and Veterans causes for 2019.  The Travis Mills Foundation supports post 9/11 recalibrated veterans and their families through long-term programs.  Gifford’s has given over XXX to The Foundation since XXXX.

“Over the last few years, we’ve been incredibly touched by the tremendous support the Gifford’s family has given the Travis Mills Foundation. Their commitment to sharing quality Maine products as a family-owned business has been such a natural fit for us since we value the importance of families and also want to share all that Maine has to offer with our veterans. The Gifford’s Famous Ice Cream partnership—from sponsorship of events to ensuring our recalibrated veterans and their families have the world’s best ice cream at the retreat when they visit—has enriched the lives of so many veterans and their families. We are honored to help so many veteran families and could not do this important work were it not for people and businesses who step forward and offer so much. Thank you!”- Travis Mills

Along with continuing their alliances with the Boston Bruins and the Travis Mills Foundation, Gifford’s is joining forces on the flavor front with Aroma Joe’s and collaborating with Colby College to round up some product research.

Aroma Joe’s

Gifford’s is excited to announce their expanded partnership with Aroma Joe’s which is headquartered in Portland and has 64 current locations.  The union had a “soft launch” last July with a co-branded bulk ice cream flavor sold at Gifford’s five family owned stands. The Aroma Joe’s PB Mocha ice cream was a hit with customers and is a combination using Aroma Joe’s Cold Brew and Gifford’s chocolate ice cream making a mocha-licious ice cream rippled with peanut butter and chocolate chips! After wonderful reviews from customers, the flavor will be available once again at Gifford’s five family owned stands as well as available for all Gifford’s partner stands throughout New England! “We are happy to be working with another family owned company from Maine and to offer this flavor to all of our customers and partner stands. We’ve got some fun cross-promotions with Aroma Joe’s planned throughout the summer!” – Lindsay Skilling, CEO.

“Aroma Joe’s is excited to expand our partnership with Gifford’s.  Not only are we both proudly founded and headquartered in Maine, but we share a passion for serving great products in a positive environment,” said Loren Goodridge, Aroma Joe’s CEO.  “The flavor captures the essence of our proprietary Cold Brew with the deliciousness of Gifford’s ice cream making it a perfect match.”

Colby College

In 2019, Gifford’s is also announcing a partnership with Colby College. Gifford’s will be working closely with Colby’s students on various projects which include survey analysis to help Gifford’s gain a better knowledge of their current and future customer base.  “We are so fortunate to have Colby College in our local community. We feel that this is a great opportunity for both parties in that the students get real world experience, and Gifford’s gets enthusiastic, out-of-the-box input and ideas as well as a deeper dive into understanding our target market.” –Lindsay Skilling-CEO.

“We are so grateful to the Gifford’s Family for giving our students the unique opportunity to connect knowledge from the classroom to these business challenges,” said Lisa Noble, the director of employer engagement and entrepreneurship at Colby College, who is coordinating the Gifford’s partnership through Colby’s DavisConnects, a program that facilitates global internship and research experiences for students. “Through these hands-on research projects, our students are developing the skills they need to pursue careers of their choice.”
