Gifford’s Famous Ice Cream Celebrates 30th Anniversary in Bangor with Travis Mills and an All-American Themed Party

What: Gifford’s Famous Ice Cream and the Travis Mills Foundation announced today that they are hosting an All-American themed party at the Gifford’s family-owned ice cream stand in Bangor in celebration of its 30th anniversary. The event is FREE and open to the public with an exciting lineup of activities. Guests will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with motivational speaker and veterans’ advocate Travis Mills, founder of the Travis Mills Foundation. Gifford’s will hand out American flags and will recognize veterans and service men and women during the event. A raffle of 30 signed copies of Mill’s book Tough as They Come is also on the schedule along with a few tempting All-American themed ice cream offers, specifically sundaes topped with the American flag.

In May, Gifford’s announced its new partnership with the Travis Mills Foundation. Gifford’s is sponsoring one of the 56 Veteran families scheduled to stay at the recently opened Travis Mills Veterans Retreat located in Rome, Maine, and is donating almost one hundred gallons of ice cream for the families visiting the retreat and for special events. Gifford’s is also raising awareness and funds for the Foundation’s mission at the company’s five family owned stands located in Auburn, Bangor, Farmington, Skowhegan and Waterville.
