Gifford’s Famous Ice Cream will host a 35th Anniversary Party in Farmington. It will be an evening of entertainment, raffles, including a Season Pass to Titcomb Mountain, and 35% off Banana Splits at its Farmington Stand.
Gifford’s Famous Ice Cream and the Travis Mills Foundation announced today that they are hosting an All-American themed party at the Gifford’s family-owned ice cream stand in Bangor in celebration of its 30th anniversary. The event is FREE and open to the public with an exciting lineup of activities. Guests will have the opportunity to meet and take photos with motivational speaker and veterans’ advocate Travis Mills, founder of the Travis Mills Foundation. Gifford’s will hand out American flags and will recognize veterans and service men and women during the event. A raffle of 30 signed copies of Mill’s book Tough as They Come is also on the schedule along with a few tempting All-American themed ice cream offers, specifically sundaes topped with the American flag.
Gifford’s Famous Ice Cream announces that it will sponsor one of 56 Veteran Families to stay at the Travis Mills Foundation Veterans Retreat, donate gallons of ice cream, and host events to raise awareness and funds for the foundation’s mission. The mission of the Travis Mills Foundation is to help injured veteran families unite with the land, water, nature and each other to revitalize themselves and to keep moving forward.

The beginning of ice cream season in Maine officially gets underway when Gifford’s Famous Ice Cream opens its five family-owned stands on Friday, March 17. To celebrate, Gifford’s announced today that the company plans to roll out six new flavors at its five stands, treat customers to free small cones between 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. on opening day and will begin a season-long fundraising initiative in support of Veterans.
The Boston Bruins and Gifford’s Famous Ice Cream, of Skowhegan, Maine, announced today that they have entered into a three-year partnership. A cornerstone of the new partnership is the introduction of a custom new ice cream flavor – called Power Play Fudge – made by Gifford’s and dedicated to the Boston Bruins. The new flavor, described as “a crushed chocolate cookie advantage in a shift of golden vanilla ice cream full of fudge-filled chocolate pucks and crossed with a milk-fudge ribbon,” was dreamed up by the Gifford’s family as a special tribute to their favorite ice hockey team.
The Acadia National Park Centennial Task Force, Gifford’s Famous Ice Cream, and Hannaford announced today that they will join forces for an early summer celebration in honor of Acadia’s BIG 100th birthday. The celebration, put on by Acadia Centennial signature sponsors and partners, is FREE and open to the public.
