With 6,000 Ponds and Lakes, 3,500 miles of coastline and 17 million acres of forest, Maine is a great place to live or visit. Maine has a beautiful scenic view from almost any angle and an exciting culture to experience. It's no wonder why we produce our products here. We like it here so much we want to share our favorite places in the state with you.
-
John Gifford's(our Treasurer) Favorite Place - Rangeley, along Route 4.
One of my favorite spots in Maine is Rangeley. Rangeley brings back many found memories for me especially back in the early to mid 1970's when I delivered milk there. What wonderful people live in that town and what a beautiful Maine town centered on Rangeley Lake.
-
Shelby Gifford's(our Sales and Marketing Assistant) Favorite Place - Five Islands, along Route 127.
A little fishing village on the coast of Georgetown Island, facing Sheepscot Bay. A great place to watch lobster and fishing boats work or visit the near by beach at Reid State Park.
-
Lindsay Gifford's Favorite Place - Portland's Old Port, just off interstate 95.
A quaint section of Maine's largest city. This area of Portland has the feeling of a small town and a large city all in one. Spend a day shopping in the boutiques and enjoy lunch in a cafe. The Old Port is also the premier place in Maine for night life. Catch a concert or comedy act, stop in a pub for a beverage from a local producer, or enjoy fine dinning on the waterfront.
-
Roger Gifford's(our President) Favorite Place - Belgrade Lakes Region, along Route 27.
Belgrade Lakes Region, A chain of seven lakes in central Maine. One of the most senic and awesome golf courses anywhere. Belgrade Lakes GC. Great family vacations at housekeeping camps, such as Whisperwood, and Bear Spring Camps, to name a few.
-
Wanda Demer's(our Controller) Favorite Place - Camden, along Route 1.
Camden is a beautiful coastal town, with relaxing charm. One of the best places to watch the Sail Boats, especially during sunrise or sunset. Enjoy some of the best fresh seafood, in the area, including Seafood Chowder and Steamed Mussels at Cappy's Store in down town Camden
-
Teresa Clement's(our Assistant to the Controller) Favorite Place - Moosehead Lake Region(Rockwood and Greenville), along Routes 15 and 6.
Great little shops and The Black Frog for dining in Greenville; beautiful views of Kineo, and eagle and moose watching in Rockwood; and the lake as the backdrop for it all. Beautiful all four seasons.
